DFS2 - Crossroads Caring for Carers (Saesneg yn unig)

Thank you for you letter of 19 March 2008 requesting evidence on the above matter.

As an organisation Crossroads Caring for Carers would not have sufficient expertise to give comprehensive evidence.  However we would respectfully ask the committee to take into account the fact that most carers in Wales suffer financial hardship and any additional costs arising from this LCO might adversely affect their limited income.

As our staff in Crossroads work in the main in the homes of the families of any action that reduces the fire risk.

I understand that the trust of the outcome of the LCO would be the need for automatic water sprinkler systems.  These can cause untold damage if they are set off accidentally.
