Response from Langstone Community Council to the National Assembly for Wales Legislation Committee No. 2

I have been instructed by the Langstone Community Council to write and inform you that the Council fully supports the LCO and see it as a great opportunity to develop the role of the Community and Town Councils in Wales.

By granting the Welsh Assembly Government competence over constituational, structural and procedural matters for Community Councils and meetings, it will enable decisions, affecting the sector to be taken closer to and thus more easily informed by those affected by the decisions and ulitmately we believe will be in the interests of joined-up government in Wales.

We would therefore urge you to support the LCO.
