About the Measure
The purpose of the Measure is to reform the statutory basis for service improvement and strategic planning by local authorities in Wales. The Measure links well-being and community planning with service improvement. The Measure redefines basic duties to account for improvement. It will require local partners to cooperate in the delivery of community strategic outcomes and to engage with citizens.Latest News
Following agreement by the National Assembly of the text of the proposed Measure, it received Royal Approval on 10 June 2009. The proposed Measure is now a Measure of the National Assembly (a Welsh law).
