Registering on ths Site

Registering allows you to use certain functions of this website such as subscribing to updates and contributing to discussion forums. This is a moderated function that ensures that only users with a valid e-mail address can use the site, and requires you to accept the terms and conditions for the site. This helps us to ensure that the site is not attacked by individuals wishing to damage the online service we provide.

How to Register

There are three steps in the registration process:

Step 1 of 3 - Complete the Registration form

To register to the site, you will need to complete a simple form. We have produced a simple guide on how to complete the registration form.

When you have completed the form, click on ‘Register’. This will take you to Step 2.

Step 2 of 3 – An activation message will be sent to your e-mail address

An activation e-mail from assembly.website@wales.gov.uk will be sent to the address you entered on the registration form. The e-mail will include a web link to activate your account, and you must either click on this link or paste it into your web browser's address field.

Step 3 of 3 - Account activated

Clicking on the link in the activation e-mail will take you to our activation page, and will complete the registration process.

Features of registration

Subscription

Registered users can subscribe to certain pages of the website in which they are interested. By selecting the briefcase icon at the bottom of web pages, subscribers will receive a daily e-mail notifying them of any changes that have occurred within these pages. Only one e-mail will be sent regardless of the number of pages that have been changed; the e-mail will contain links to all the subscribed pages which have changed on that day. More information on subscribing to pages can be found in the  Subscription help page

Newsletter

The National Assembly for Wales may in future produce an electronic newsletter which will be sent by e-mail to registered users. If you would like to receive this newsletter, please tick the 'Yes' box on the registration form, and choose your preferred language. If you have already registered, but did not select the option when you completed the form, you can choose to receive the newsletter by clicking on the 'amending your details' link on the 'My details' page.
