Completing the Website Registration Form
Registering allows you to use certain functions of this website such as forums and signing e-Petitions. This is a moderated function that ensures that only users with a valid e-mail address can use the site. It also requires you to accept the terms and conditions for the site. This helps us to ensure that the site is not attacked by individuals wishing to damage the service provided by the site. A quick explanation for some of the fields on the form and why we are requesting this information: Screen Name: This will be the name that will appear on your notification e-mails, and against your comments on any discussion forums.e-mail address: This will be the e-mail address that we will send all correspondence to, including the account activation link.
Password: Your password must be between 4 and 12 characters in length. Please note that passwords are case-sensitive, so you will need to take care when entering this. If you forget your password, you can use request a new one using the 'Forgotten your password?' function.
Why do you need my name and address?
In order to sign or submit an e-petition, the Assembly’s rules – the Standing Orders – state that all petitions must clearly state the names and addresses of any person supporting the petition. As a result, we require your full name, address and postcode. When you have entered your postcode, please click on ‘Find my Constituency’:- your constituency will automatically appear if you have entered a valid Welsh postcode
- you will be prompted to fill in the ‘area of residence’ field if you have entered any other postcode. Please note that either your 'Constituency' or 'Area of Residence' will appear alongside your 'full name' when you sign any e-Petition you sign.
