Members’ expenses

Members are entitled to resources to employ staff and run offices in their constituencies so that they can deal with issues and cases raised by the people they represent. Register of Members’ interests

Section 36 of the Government of Wales Act 2006 and Standing Order 2 require the National Assembly to maintain and publish a Register of Members’ Interests.

Employment of family members

Remuneration Board

An independent Remuneration Board was established to ensure that AMs have adequate resources to carry out their vital job of representing the people of Wales, holding the Welsh Government to account and making laws for Wales.
