Yr ydym yn galw ar Gynulliad Cenedlaethol Cymru i gychwyn archwiliad cyhoeddus llawn o’r cynnig i greu canolfan hedfan masnachol ym Mharc Cenedlaethol Eryri, sy’n mynd yn groes i’r dibenion statudol y cafodd Parciau Cenedlaethol eu creu ar eu cyfer.Gwybodaeth ychwanegol (darparwyd gan y deisebydd yn Saeseng yn unig)
It is unacceptable that a proposal with such far-reaching implications, affecting an area which is very sensitive environmentally, should be allowed to proceed without proper public scrutiny. That could be provided under planning legislation. The Society has sought to establish by approaches to the Snowdonia National Park Authority as the local planning authority, that planning permission is required for the proposed development, but so far without success. The Assembly Government and the developer have proceeded on the basis that planning permission is not required.
The Society has also sought information that Welsh Ministers have fulfilled their legal obligations under section 62 of the Environment Act 1995 to 'have regard' to the statutory purposes of national parks in making decisions on land.
