I'm Lesley Griffiths and I am the Assembly Member for Wrexham. I was elected to the National Assembly for Wales in May 2007 and it's a great privilege to represent this very special and distinct constituency in North East Wales.

I was born in 1960, raised in North East Wales and have lived and worked in Wrexham all of my adult life. Here at the Assembly I sit on three committees - Communities and Culture; Sustainability and Audit. I've also recently sat on two of the new Legislative Competence Order Scrutiny Committees - one in relation to affordable housing and one in respect of vulnerable children. I'm also the Chamber spokesperson for the Economy and Transport.

My main political interests are health, housing, economic development and children's issues. Outside of politics my main hobbies are music, walking and watching Wrexham Football Club.
